Water Tanks and Saving Rainwater

There are so many reasons why now we need to consider rainwater harvesting and how it can play a major role in helping tackle climate and environmental changes.

Firstly, it can help prevent flooding by having a system in place which collects the rainwater and takes the pressure off the water build up on the ground. Secondly, rainwater can be used to store for other purposes and be used in agricultural farming sectors with crop spraying, livestock and general farming. As seen on Clarkson’s farm one of our large 25,000 litre water tanks holds a large capacity of rainwater. It can also be extremely beneficial having emergency water especially in the dry seasons when the ground is dry and plants and crops require water for growth.

Rainwater harvesting is also beneficial to emergency services and offers greater protection against fire hazards and chemical control by having one on site. There are so many other sectors that can gain from having a rainwater tanks in place and another example of this is the National Trust sites and English Heritage where they have large grounds to keep watered and growing.

Then there is the money saving factors! Saved rainwater will no doubt cut down the expenses on the use of mains water. It takes the pressure off using the amount of mains water which will ultimately save you money on your bills. This applies to domestic and all other sectors. Overall it can make a beneficial difference to the environment if many of us turned towards having a rainwater harvesting system in place.

Remember our water tanks come in many sizes so if you only have a small area which is vulnerable then you won’t require something really large. We do offer a much larger range of water tanks and these maybe required if you are looking to set up a rainwater harvesting system to use for your home and garden. Or if you are looking to upgrade or use for a commercial business. We supply potable water tanks (safe for drinking water storage) and non potable, aboveground water tanks and underground water tanks.
